Tigers striker Scott Spencer has been selected by England C manager Paul Fairclough to face Gibraltar later this month.
Scott, who has already scored 13 goals for since joining Hyde this summer, is one of just 2 players in the 18-man squad who play underneath the Blue Square Bet Premier, alongside Stalybridge Celtic forward Connor Jennings.
The match, which will take place at 7.45pm on Tuesday 15th November at the island’s Victoria Stadium, will give Fairclough a chance to run the rule over his squad as he prepares for next year’s International Challenge Trophy campaign.
Former Tiger Shane Killock, who now plays for AFC Telford United, has also made the squad.
As a result of the call up, Scott will miss the rearranged Blue Square Bet North game at Hinckley United on Monday 14th November.
