Match report

The Tigers remain unbeaten after this dull goalless draw in their first ever Blue Square Bet Premier game at Ewen Fields.

After conceding a last minute goal to draw at Braintree, Hyde were looking to bounce back, but it was the vistors who started the brighter with Danny Rowe firing a shot in which Carnell held on to well.

At the other end, Adam Griffin’s low first time cross was flicked towards goal by Scott Spencer which Danny Hurst in the Hyde goal had to grab, and Paul Rutherford then had a shot over for Barrow.

Barrow started to grow in confindence and were starting to pass the ball nicely without breaking down a well organised home defence, and both sides’ lack of composure in the final third made for a game of very chances.
