Blackpool midfielder Liam Tomsett has had his loan extended until the end of the season.
Having put in some strong performances in the centre of midfield over the past few months Liam can now look to carry on his form for the rest of the campaign.
He made his happiness and relief for the deal clear saying:
Very happy, the first half of the season I’ve really enjoyed, loads of games and I’ve gained great experience.” He went on to say: “I need to be playing games and have people watching me.”
Arguably his partnership with Chris Sedgwick has been a massive bonus for Hyde and he’s hoping this can be continued for the rest of the season: “it’s been good since he arrived, I think that we’ve started to pick up points up, I think we’ve started to form a good partnership and we’re really strong so hopefully that can continue.”
Tomsett showed some optimism regarding the rest of the season: “if we can put another run in we can sneak into the play-offs but I’m happy with mid-table.”
And after being out of action for a few weeks the young midfielder is raring to go: “ I’m really looking forward to it, I was hoping Saturday would be on but we’ll go to the next game.”
After putting pen to paper on the loan deal he sent a message to all the fans of the club: “I just want to say thanks for making me so welcome! They’ve been excellent, especially the Stockport games that were probably the best!”
